Giving Tuesday - MSU Sustainability

Tue, December 1, 2020 at Online

Our collective future depends on our ability to be innovative and creative, and to translate good ideas into solutions that improve quality of life, build our economy, and strengthen our communities in a sustainable manner. Michigan State University is rising to the challenge by unlocking the potential of today’s students to become tomorrow’s leaders whose innovations and dedication will address intractable problems such as climate change, global poverty and inequality, natural resource depletion, and environmental degradation through new thinking, technologies, strategies and approaches. This Giving Tuesday, December 1, 2020, please consider how you can support MSU Sustainability.

Get Involved

Take the MSU Sustainability Pledge

Every member of the Spartan family has a role in advancing sustainability through their daily actions both on and off campus. We invite you to make a personal commitment to sustainability by considering the environmental, social and economic impact of your daily decisions and commit to new ways of leading a sustainable life while on campus and at home. Students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members can all take the MSU Sustainability Pledge.

Volunteer

Volunteering is a fun and engaging way to get involved, make connections and help advance sustainability both on and off campus. The Office of Sustainability and partners may occasionally have volunteer opportunities for students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members. Learn more

Give to the Campus Sustainability Student Projects Fund

Engaging students in critical thinking and problem solving around sustainability is a key part of MSU Sustainability in Action. The Campus Sustainability Student Projects Fund (CSSPF) creates that opportunity and supports selected student-driven, staff-supported sustainability projects such as pollinator gardens, green walls and roofs, renewable energy demonstrations, sustainable art projects, recycling competitions, tree plantings and more. Students learn to work with MSU and community partners, fostering their understanding of volunteerism while demonstrating how leadership happens at a local level. Through these immersive learning experiences, students develop leadership, collaboration and problem-solving skills that will propel them into their future careers.  Your donation will support student-led projects that enhance the Spartan learning experience and better MSU’s campus while preparing the leaders of tomorrow. Give today here.
